| Why Men Need 2 Car Garages |
|
Have you noticed that 2 car garages rarely have two cars in them? If
you have, then you may be confused why people would buy an expanded
garage when they only own a one car.
Well, the reason seems to be that
men have too much garage-type stuff to fit two vehicles inside a unit.
All of the 2 car garages I have seen only contain one car because there
are just too many other things in the area.
My husband and I also have a 2 car garage. Since I don’t want to keep my husband’s stuff inside the house, I am more than happy to share the garage space with them. I would prefer seeing those items overflowing into the extra parking space than inside my home. I don’t know what my husband does with these items but they seem to be constantly multiplying. Fortunately, this is what 2 car garages are really meant to do. They do a good job of containing my husband’s ever growing garage-type stuff collection. I think that 2 car garages exist way before families could afford two cars. This is the first clue that the inventors of the larger parking area had other plans for the space. They designed expanded garages as a place to store all kinds of guy stuff.
I have no problems with my husband’s habit of storing his guy stuff in our garage. I have a theory that the original inventor of the expanded garage actually made the design so that his wife would not complain about his messy guy stuff.
Most of the families that have more than one vehicle know that 2 car garages aren’t really meant for more than one automobile. You see, men know that it is not possible to a huge SUV in a small space. There isn’t room for a Beetle in there let alone a large vehicle. They also know that most men are uncomfortable with pulling their priceless driving machine into a small space. It just doesn’t feel natural. The 2 car garages of today are designed for the tons of guy stuff that needs to stay out of the house and one big vehicle. |
